6. AI Chat Assistant
Our website features an AI-powered chat assistant ("Trout AI") designed to answer questions about our products and services. By using the chat assistant, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
- Message processing and retention. Chat messages you submit are sent to a third-party AI provider (Anthropic) for processing and are stored in our database to generate responses, improve the quality of the assistant, and support our sales operations.
- Data collected. We collect and retain chat messages, your approximate geographic location (country), the page you were on when you opened the chat, and any email address you voluntarily provide. We do not store your IP address in plain text.
- Purpose. Retained chat data is used to provide and improve the chat service, qualify sales inquiries, and follow up with you if you have provided contact information.
- No guarantees of accuracy. Trout AI is an automated assistant and may produce inaccurate or incomplete information. Responses should not be relied upon as professional, legal, or technical advice. We encourage you to verify any information with our team.
- No cross-session data sharing. The assistant does not have access to other users' conversations or data. Each chat session is isolated.
- Retention period. Chat data is retained for a reasonable period necessary for sales follow-up and service improvement, after which it may be deleted.
